NOURISH BRIGHTON is serious about protecting your online privacy and as such is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office. This Privacy Statement explains our views and practices concerning privacy, and how they may pertain to you as a user of our website and our services.
You or Your means you as a client of NOURISH BRIGHTON website. We or Our or Us means NOURISH BRIGHTON. Our site means www.nourishbrighton.com.
SECTION 1 – WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?
When you submit an enquiry using the contact form on our site, as part of the client-practitioner appointment booking process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, phone number and email address. This enables us to both fulfil and support the services you have requested.
During the consultation process we will keep notes pertaining to your clinical condition, social circumstances, dietary habits and the treatment plan agreed between client and practitioner. Copies of this information can be requested, in writing, up to 8 years following completion of the episode of dietetic care (in line with health record legislation) however the client will be invoiced for the cost of photocopying and postage of paper records.
Email marketing: With your permission, we may from time to time send you emails about new services and special events. You can opt out of these messages at any time (see section 2 regarding consent).
SECTION 2 – CONSENT
When you provide us with personal information (via email or using the ‘contact us’ form) to facilitate consultation bookings, email / telephone correspondence and follow up advice we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it to provide you with our services.
By sending us messages directly through the website message system, you will be automatically enrolled onto our marketing database for use by Nourish Brighton only. You can opt out of this list at anytime by requesting it in your original message, or by contacting us separately.
You may also withdraw your consent at any time through replying to a marketing email with “unsubscribe” in the subject title.

SECTION 3 – DISCLOSURE
We will only disclose your personal information if we are required to do so by law, if there are safeguarding concerns or if you violate our Terms of Service.
IMPORTANT: We do not sell, rent or otherwise disclose your personal information to any third parties, including but not limited to advertisers, strategic partners or vendors. Again, we take your privacy very seriously.
SECTION 4 – DATA STORAGE
Paper health records of dietetic consultations are kept securely and destroyed (by shredding) 8 years following the cessation of treatment. Clinical letters and invoices are coded and kept digitally in password-protected folders.
Personal information provided by you within email correspondence is deleted 1 year following cessation of care; or until you request us to delete them, in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
NOTE: At no point does NOURISH BRIGHTON take custody or store any financial details or credit card information.
SECTION 5 – CONTROLLING YOUR PERSONAL DATA
Whenever you are asked to complete a form on the website look for the box that you can click to indicate that you do not wish for the information to be used by us for direct marketing purposes.
You may request details of the personal information held on you by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. If you believe that any information is incorrect or incomplete, please write to or email us as soon as possible and we will act promptly correct any misinformation.
